The Microsoft Access database used for this example has a simple three field table named members.  The properties of the table are as shown below:

As can be seen from the design view above of the members table the "id" is the primary key and is auto incremental.  The "username" and "password" fields are both indexed with no duplicates allowed.  The database is uploaded to the web space to private folder on Seiretto Windows hosting (d:\t\h\thedemosite\private\mydatabase.db), this folder is secure, there is no public access (inaccessible via http).  The DSN (Data Source Name) created for this site is called thedemosite and is referred to on the next page Add a User.
